I cannot look at a Garnet and not think of my Grandma Stephens. It was her birthstone ( yes I know it is Januarys birthstone) and when I chose this for December I thought of her and the gift she was, and still is in my life.

Sarah is my youngest and youngest daughter. When choosing stones for this month, she immediately asked for gray cloudy quartz. She doesn't wear bracelets often but when she does it is usually one I made for her. My children are 6 of my greatest gifts.

Amore means love and to love others you really do need to love yourself first. I always heard that and wasn't till later in life that I truly learned how true this is. May this mostly pink rose quarts bracelet remind you that you are your first true love and to treat yourself as such.

Laura's Braveheart is named after my childhood friend Laura who passed away in 2018 of Triple Negative Breast Cancer. She was love and had the heart of a lion in how she loved and served others.

These stones remind me of the fire of black lava to ground you in the allowing love of yourself to be filled in every part of you. Loving yourself is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself and then in return to others. May this bracelet remind you to be brave in loving who you are now.

Bracelet Making Circle

One of the things I have enjoyed about making bracelets is the conversations at the table while making them.

My husband is the one who encouraged me to start this endeavor after watching a lot of bracelet making over the years. He has remarked numerous times about the joy it brought to me and to those who received the bracelets.

I thought it would be fun to continue that experience online as well. Having a Q&A. while making bracelets allows us to get to know each other, sharing our celebrations, struggles and life experience.

This also reminds me of the stories my Grandma Stephens would tell me about her mother, grandmother and neighbors getting together to quilt, needlepoint and just talk and be together.

I will be holding these weekly.
